1. Wake up naturally

Nobody likes waking up to an alarm clock. Most of the time, you’re just not ready and this can make starting the day a real drag. Instead of setting an alarm and hitting snooze 50 times, try going to bed a little earlier and leave your door ajar or the blinds slightly opened. This way, the sun will slowly wake you up and you’ll feel like you’re well rested by the time you need to get up.

2. Water, water, water

Dehydration can really impact your energy and concentration levels, leaving you feeling sluggish and hazy. To help you feel good from the moment you wake up, swap the morning coffee for a nice big glass of water. If you can’t go without your morning cup, try to at least have a glass before your coffee and again throughout the day to ensure you’re always topped up.

3. Exercise or stretch

For those of us that don’t particularly enjoy getting up early, the thought of exercising first thing in the morning can seem like a little bit of a chore. However, once you get up and actually do it, you’ll find that your mood, energy and concentration will improve not only for the morning, but throughout the entire day.

This doesn’t mean that you have to go hard at the gym or your local boot camp; even just 30 minutes of regular exercise at a low to moderate intensity can be enough to take effect. Maybe you like walking or going for a run, maybe you’re into yoga or maybe you just like doing a gentle stretch. Whatever you can convince yourself to get into will help to set the tone for the day and leave you feeling energised to tackle whatever comes your way.

4. Feed your body

Skipping breakfast is a really poor morning habit that many of us seem to fall into at one stage or another. To help you get into better breakfast habits that will give you longevity throughout the day, try a combination of whole grains, protein, and healthy fats. Look for something that’s quick to prepare and easy to eat to encourage you to integrate it into your morning routine.

After all, they don’t say it’s the most important meal of the day for nothing!

5. The best breakfast

If, like many of us, you struggle to find the time to eat a healthy breakfast, or if you just haven’t found something you’re excited to eat first up in the morning, we’ve got just the thing!

Veganola is a premium granola made from nuts, seeds, coconut and super fruits to keep your body (and your tastebuds) completely satisfied. This Paleo and vegan granola is slow roasted with natural oils and nectars to create the ultimate breakfast treat. Whether you prefer Goji & Coconut or Apple Cinnamon, Veganola is the quickest and tastiest breakfast option for anyone who struggles to eat their morning meal.

To create the perfect brekkie bowl, place a layer of fruit and coconut yoghurt into a bowl. Sprinkle generously with your favourite Veganola flavour and dig in!
