Alfred Vogel (1902–1996), Swiss pioneer in natural health, made many
research trips to visit places where people still lived according to
tradition. Throughout his life he travelled around the globe to places
like Africa and North America. In the early 1950’s on one of these
trips, he met Sioux medicine man Black Elk in South Dakota. According
to Alfred Vogel they shared a mutual "appreciation and particular
interest in herbs". Black Elk gave Alfred Vogel seeds of the echinacea
plant as a farewell present. Upon his return to Switzerland, those
plant seeds became the basis for Echinaforce®.
Echinaforce® is made from high quality GMO-free plants that are
cultivated under controlled biological conditions and processed fresh
from the fields. The entire Echinacea purpurea plant is used in order
to provide a full spectrum therapeutic effect. It was always Alfred
Vogel's conviction that echinacea should be cultivated without using
any kind of chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
